A little boy asked his mother, “Why are you crying?” “Because I’m a woman,” she told him.

“I don’t understand,” he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, “And you never will.”

Later the little boy asked his father, “Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?”

“All women cry for no reason,” was all his dad could say.

The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, “God, why do women cry so easily?”

God said: “When I made the woman she had to be special.

By applying Henry Ford’s super-efficient assembly line concept to vertical hydroponic farming, the Vancouver-based firm can produce the same amount of produce on a standard sized residential lot that most farmers would be able to grow on a 16-acre plot. Their stacked, mechanized, produce-laden plastic trays are already a hot commodity, with orders coming in from every corner of the globe. Step in for a closer look at how this technology is completely changing the way we grow food.

The VertiCrop system consists of a series of mechanical 123 plastic trays stacked 8 high that can be placed on urban rooftops and other tight spaces. They contain vegetables and herbs that are grown hydroponically with just 8% of the water and 5% of the space required by standard farms. Energy efficient LED lights are on standby to supplement waning natural light when necessary.

^ Probably one of the best re-blog comments I’ve read. The cake was indeed warm when I layered the ganache because I was chasing daylight. Fortunately it gave a rather decadent effect to the photo. Happy accidents are the best…and am I the only one who can see a jester/joker sort of face on the side?

You’ve honoured me this evening to a degree I feel I don’t yet deserve. When I read about the work of my fellow honourees, I felt humbled and certain that among us, I am the one with much to prove. I believe I’ve received this award not so much because of what I’ve done, but because of the way I was born and raised. I was born the younger sister of a gay man, my older brother Mike, and the daughter of parents who were both empathetic to and loving of the LGBT community. In my household, being gay was and is - no big deal. When my brother came out we hugged him, said we loved him, and that was that. When he brought home his first boyfriend …when he brought his first boyfriend, now husband home for a couple of weeks one Christmas, my father’s only comment to my mother was: “Please, try not to mix up our underwear.” We had no idea that I would become recognizable because of my work and that we would become publicly labeled as having an “alternative family lifestyle”. Just for the record, we don’t feel that there is actually anything alternative about our family values. So for semantic reasons only, it’s with some hesitation that I accept the HRCLI award. I don’t consider myself just an ally to the LGBT community, I consider myself your family; and so, I’m doing, what we should all do, with our families. I’m loving you, I support you, I completely accept you as you are as I hope you do me, and if anyone, ever, tries to hurt you - I’m gonna give them hell! …There are people who’ve said that I’m being brave for being openly supportive of gay marriage, gay adoption ..basically of gay rights, but with all due respect, I humbly dissent. I’m not being brave, I’m being a decent human being, and I don’t think I should receive an award for that, or for merely stating what I believe to be true; that love, is a human experience, not a political statement, however, I acknowledge that sadly we live in a world where not everybody feels the same. My family and I will help the good fight continue until that long awaited moment arrives. When our rights are equal, and when the political limits on love have been smashed. This award does not represent in anyway the pinnacle of my relationship with the LGBT community, rather, it is a triumphant roar to announce that we are just beginning our fight together. In closing, to paraphrase Enis Del Mar, who was unforgettably embodied by the late, the great, Heath Ledger: I swear HRC, I swear. I have not yet done enough to deserve this award, but don’t worry, the best is yet to come.

I loved her before, but this totally enhances that by a billion. This woman is amazing!! Sitting here crying right now after sitting through this speech to write it down for all of you guys. Incredible!

I saw an ad on the table on my table and as I browsed I found an IPAD photo a lifesize photo. Funny thing is I took a picture of it with me and posted it in my fb account telling I have an IPAD. What is shocking about this is they believe that I really bought a new IPAD even my mom believe so. Its really funny that I’m still not saying its fake not until they would notice it. My boyfriend and I will be celebrating our ninth month together, and we notice that we havn’t got our love song ever. That is when we were listening to some music a while ago, then I clicked this song and its lyrics perfectly are the words that we really want to say to each other. I even cried while listening to this song its not that I’m overreacting but this song really touches my heart. It will melt your heart especially to those who are deeply in love with their partner. Valentines Day EVERYDAY

Yesterday, Feb 14,12 valentines day. I didn’t feel any difference about that day. It’s a special day to most of us especially to those who were in a deep and serious relationship with the opposite sex. Its a day to express you’re love, a day to send gifts such flowers and chocolates, a day to make your love ones feel so special. A very LOVEly day.

As for me I didn’t felt the love day as a LOVVVEEE day. Why? Because I didn’t receive any bouquet of roses or box of chocolates or a cute teddy bear. Not that I don’t have a bf at all, in fact I have and we truly love each other so much, but he didn’t give me gift or even date me yesterday to celebrate valentines. Again why? if most of you have so much thoughtful boyfriend in sort of giving gifts or anything to please his girlfriend or asking his girl on a candlelight dinner. Well my boyfriend is neither meaning he won’t give anything not until I ask for it, he is just that kind of person and I don’t love him less for that.

I entitled this blog as valentines day everyday because even though my bf may not be the most thoughtful person I knew. For me he is the most romantic person I’ve ever met he always show me how much he loves me, kisses and hugs me everyday whispers sweet words and makes sure that my day is great. He never fails to kiss me goodbye even if I’m asleep I know because sometimes I pretend to be sleeping to make sure if he really does :). That simple way I feel that everyday is a love day for us and no material things could replace he’s sweetest gestures only to show his feelings for me.

Let’s not forget that love is not on the things he may gave to you but its on true feelings that he shows only for you. Flowers will die, chocolates will expire but the feelings will forever stay as long as you both appreciate each other even in a very simple things you both do. Love will forever last :)
